How to find the University of Bradford's main campus
Bradford is conveniently situated in the centre of the UK and is easily reached by road, rail or air.
Bradford is connected to the national motorway network via the M62 and the M606. Approximate distances by motorway are:

- Birmingham 120 miles (192 km)
- Bristol 220 miles (352 km)
- Edinburgh 200 miles (320 km)
- Leeds 8 miles (13 km)
- Manchester 35 miles (56 km)
- Newcastle 95 miles (152 km)
- Nottingham 80 miles (128 km)
Best routes into Bradford are:
- from the south, east or west of Bradford - M62 and the M606
- from the north-west of Bradford - A629/A650 via Skipton and Keighley
- from the north-east - A1 or A19, and reach Bradford via the A59 and then the A658 south of Harrogate.

An extensive coach service connects most parts of the country to Bradford's Travel Interchange.
By public transport
Bradford has two train stations - Bradford Interchange and Bradford Forster Square. Both stations have extensive rail links, though many involve changing at Leeds.
The Interchange is where you will probably arrive. Approximate journey times are:
- London, King's Cross - 3 hours
- Edinburgh - 4 hours
- Birmingham - 3 hours
- Manchester - 1 hour
- Leeds - 20 minutes

Getting to the City Campus from the train stations
Walking takes about 15 minutes, though it is partly uphill.
From the Interchange, come down the hill, across the crossing and turn left in front of City Hall.
From Forster Square station, walk along past the "Fibres" sculpture out onto Cheapside, then along Market Street to City Hall.
From City Hall, walk across City Park (shown below with the Alhambra Theatre in the background).
Cross the road and walk left towards the glass front of the Alhambra Theatre.
Turn right up Great Horton Road just before the Alhambra Theatre.
The University is about 300 metres up this hill, beyond the College.
The side entrance to the Richmond Building is shown below on the right (card access only).
Walk past the side entrance and take the next right onto City Campus, where you will be able to access the main entrance to the Richmond Building as well as other buildings at the City Campus.

Getting to the Emm Lane Campus
The Emm Lane Campus - home to the Faculty of Management and Law - is just over two miles from the city centre.
The 662 buses leave from the Bradford Interchange at regular intervals, going along Manningham Lane.
From Forster Square station you can take the 622, 623, 625 and 626 buses which leave from Cheapside at regular intervals, also going along Manningham Lane. There is a stop at Emm Lane (about 15 minutes).
A taxi should cost around £5.00.

There are direct regular air services into Leeds/Bradford International Airport, 8 miles (13 km) from the University, from various cities around the UK and Ireland as well as from many international locations.
Bradford can be reached from the Airport by taxi at a cost of about £25. There is also an hourly bus service to Bradford Interchange at a cost of around £4.00.
Many internal and international flights can also be made into Manchester Airport, 50 miles (80 km) south-west of Bradford.
